Update issued to Local Authorities using the Aecom EcoUplift tool to map their Nature Networks (2nd June 2026).

Page last updated 4 June, 2026

Please be advised of the latest functionality updates to the EcoUplift platform. These changes have been made based on useful feedback from users.

Key Update: Corridor Scenario Modelling You now have full control to edit, test, and compare multiple corridor routes:

  • Baseline ‘Auto’ Tab: Initial successful network analyses are automatically saved to a dedicated ‘Auto’ tab.
  • Custom Scenarios: Duplicate the original route to manually adjust and build alternative corridor versions.
  • Instant Re-analysis: Edited corridors are automatically re-evaluated against your chosen measures and data layers, providing immediate feedback on manual interventions.
  • Video Guide: A new tutorial walkthrough is available on the platform to demonstrate this functionality.

Expanded Data Layers & Mapping

  • New Network Layers Added: Core Paths, Geomorphic Risk Buffers, Obstacles to Fish Migration, Recommended Riparian Corridors, Riparian Planting Opportunities (High), and WEF Projects.
  • Global Datasets: Local Authority boundaries and Ancient Woodland data are now accessible across all maps, including Sites and Programmes.

Enhanced Configuration & Control

  • Bulk Condition Adjustments: Apply condition changes across an entire site simultaneously to quickly generate high-level, uncertainty-based projections.
  • Configurable Midpoints: Manage routing midpoints via your settings. The default limit is 3 to ensure optimal system performance; please contact us if your tenancy requires a higher limit.
  • Adjustable Monetary Flows: Disable financial valuations for ecosystem services where monetary values are not applicable (e.g., biodiversity net gain).

Reporting & UI Improvements

  • Asset Register: A new column clearly indicates if a change constitutes a net benefit, and new ‘Total’ rows have been added for rapid auditing.
  • Performance: Faster processing for ‘Select All’ and ‘Copy’ actions, plus enhanced validation warnings for shapefile uploads to prevent errors.

Please log in to explore these new features. If you require technical assistance or support please do not hesitate to get in touch- support workshops (either in-person or online) are within project scope.

If you require a reminder of your log in details then please get in touch with the Aecom team.
